Faroese / Danish writer Einar Petersen is in the process of re-inventing his gloomy short story Implant! about the fall of a totalitarian technocratic American Tyranny.

He is taking the written word into a gloomy Darkish very Noir and dystopic comic book form.

The author has just launched a Kickstarter to fund the production of artwork and a print run.

The Kickstarter runs until Fri, Aug 19 2016 10:56 PM CEST.

And here is a little more on the project:

Some years ago I wrote a short story called Implant! At the time I was rather annoyed at politicians talking about using RFID chips and the like to track people. The talk died down again, but lately I’ve been hearing things like the UK Ministry of Justice confirming, “Prisoners ‘to be chipped like dogs’ Global Positioning System GPS technology will be used in order to track them more easily in headlines.

Or things like San Antonio’s Northside Independent School district trialing RFID at two campuses with Jay High School and Jones Middle School planning to require students to participate in tracking system, and they’re doing so for economic reasons.

And the Ghost of RFID tracking people is back! This time with Finnish representative for the True Finns Party, Pasi Mäenranta suggesting people to be embedded with chips to prevent misuse of social welfare benefits abroad. Something that would require all Finnish Citizens leaving the country to be embedded with an identification chip.

So it is again time to blow the clarion!

I have set forth on a quest to have my novel converted into a comic book format suitable for a fresh audience. Both online and is printed format.

I have set up a Kickstarter to fund the venture and have hooked up with two talented graphic artists, Alyssa Cooper from Canada and Alexander Sharko of Ukraina, that can help me carry the conversion forward.

The intent is to release the comic book first in English, then Faroese and after that Chinese and then in Danish.

I encourage you to check out the Kickstarter and support it. You can find it on:
