Author Robert M de la Torre, born September 23, 1958 in Culver City, California. I began writing in 1978 when I lived in Bavaria, Germany as a soldier in the Army. I live in the high desert of Southern California where I love to write fiction stories and abstract painting. My latest story is “Son of the Phoenix.” I work as a housekeeper for the vetarans hospital close to home.
About:
The book is a compilation of short stories that I wrote in the year 2009. Includes titles like, “Jack Sleeps in the Park”, “Jonnie the Scarecrow”, “Caterpillar Swing”, “Always Walking Barefoot”, “Captain Lime” and “Panhead Fred.” These titles can also be purchased on Amazon.com individually. I put “Six Great Short Stories” together for those who don’t want to buy indiviually and save some money.
Making:
The stories I wrote in this book took me a little over a year to write them. Aside from my work, I take time on my days off to create new stories and self-publish through CreateSpace.
Objective:
I hope that those who read this book, find inspiration from a novice writer as myself. Ideas will develop to those who read through the pages and your imagination will take over from there.
Results:
My hopes are that anyone who is interested in writing, take a look at this book of some short stories to get some good ideas for their own writing.
